Top Shelf

One of my favorite blogs is Into The Gloss which was started by former Vogue Editor Emily Weiss. She covers some of the most interesting and diverse topics. Each Tuesday they have a feature called "Top Shelf" where they take a peak into the bathrooms of editors, dancers, actors, models and every day people. I love seeing what kind of products people use plus it's kind of voyeuristic which is fun. So, I decided to take my first stab at blogging by sharing some of the products I'm currently using. Maybe I'll be able to provide a look into some other interesting Nashville bathrooms as well in the future...there is your warning!

Top Row
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion - There is a reason why this is a cult favorite! Put it on a blemish at night and it dries up and is gone the next morning. Tip: Don't shake the bottle. The product needs to remain separate. Just stick a q-tip straight down into the bottle and apply.
Morroccan Oil - My hair is horribly frizzy and this stuff is amazing!
Glam Glow Youthmud - Love this mask. Sephora sells a $15 bottle but you have to ask for it.
Philosophy Micro Delivery Cleanser - This stuff is amazing but I only use once a week because my skin is sensitive.

Middle Row

Aveda Pure Abundance Hair Potion - Love this product! It gives your hair that dirty feeling which makes it easier to style.
MAC Fix Plus - I use this every day to set my makeup. It's full of vitamins and is made up of green tea, chamomile and cucumber. Tip: if you use mineral eye shadow or MAC Pigments spray this on your brush for easy application.
Philosophy Hope In The Jar Night - I love the regular Hope In A Jar and will not re-purchase this product. It is much thicker than the original and left my skin feeling greasy.
Tarte Marajuca Eye Cream - I liked this product a lot but will probably choose something different next time. I'm still on the hunt for a good eye cream.

Bottom Row:
A bunch of samples from Revive, Bliss and Philosophy

Aveda Purifying Cleanser - I love this cleanser. It is gentle and removes all my makeup. Will definitely re-purchase this.
Bare Mineral Skin Rev-er Upper - I have used this every morning for five years. I love how it absorbs into my skin and makes a huge difference in applying makeup. It's full of vitamins and I can't live without it.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Rose Water - This product is heaven. I keep a bottle of it in my office at work as well, and it is a great way to re-fresh your skin throughout the day.

You can find Lush Cosmetics in almost every country, and I was ecstatic to see it open at the Mall of Green Hills. Lush has some of the best skin care, shower gels, bath bombs and soaps. They are pricey but use all natural ingredients, and once you try it you will be hooked.  I bought two chunks of their soap in Dirty and Sexy Peel (shown above). I just wish I had a great bathtub to use their bath bombs. If you can find Sex Bomb in stock get it. It's their best seller and fills your tub with rose petals.
